The Aix-en-Provence Festival de Pâques is one of Europe's major music festivals, with its unrivalled programme of exceptional music performed by an eminent cast of international soloists, orchestras and ensembles. Emilie Capulet will be tour directing this exceptional visit to Aix-en-Provence, offering her personal insights into this cultured city and sharing her passion for music in her pre-concert lectures and a lecture-recital.
Emilie Capulet represents London College of Music, University of West London (UWL) in Hong Kong and China, giving piano masterclasses at Xinghai Conservatory of Music in Guangzhou, China, Hong Kong Baptist University and for UWL's MMus Performance students at the Nan Yang College of Higher Education, Hong Kong.
Emilie will be joined by Mark Dancer in a programme including Schubert's Fantasie in F minor D940 and Mozart's four-hand piano sonata in F major K497 in the historic Norman surroundings of one of the oldest churches in Brighton, St Nicholas Church, founded over 900 years ago.
Emilie Capulet will perform a vibrant programme of works for solo piano, inspired by Spain, from the mesmerizing rhythms of Flamenco and the syncopations of the Habanera to the poignant expression of Spanish gypsy song. The programme will include works by Albeniz, Scarlatti, Soler, Ravel and Debussy.
